Setting Up Vending Ops: A Step-by-Step Guide
1. Start with Customers 0:00
Begin by setting up your customers in Vending Ops.
Enter the customer's address and any relevant notes.
Click 'Save' to store the information.
Repeat this process for all customers.
2. Create Locations 1:07
Navigate to 'Locations' in the left menu and click 'New Location'.
Name the location specific to the site (e.g., 'Detroit Department Store').
Assign the location to the appropriate customer and enter the address.
Click 'OK' and then 'Save'.
Repeat for all locations, ensuring they are assigned to the correct customers.
3. Set Up Routes 2:46
Go to 'Routes' in the left menu and click 'New Route'.
Name the route as desired.
Assign one or multiple locations to the route.
Click 'Save' and repeat for each route you want to create.
4. Add Suppliers 3:37
Navigate to 'Suppliers' in the left menu and click 'New Supplier'.
Name each supplier you purchase from.
Repeat this process for all suppliers.
5. Create Products 4:14
Select 'Products' in the left navigation menu and click 'New Product'.
Use the master catalog to search for a specific item.
Select the desired product, which will auto-populate the category.
Assign a supplier and enter the SKU (preferably the supplier's SKU).
Optionally rename the product and enter additional data (e.g., barcode).
Set the default price and cost for the item, then click 'Save'.
Repeat for all products.
6. Import Products Manually (Optional) 5:39
If you wish to import products, click the 'Import' button at the top of the window.
Download the template with preset columns.
Format your product list to match this template.
Select the file to import it back into the system.
7. Set Up Machines and Markets 6:11
Machines are often created automatically after mapping and connecting to VendingOps.
Refer to the guides included in the video for assistance.
Locate the machine by its telemetry number and select it to access the details page.
Click 'Edit Details' to name the machine, assign a location, and enter other details (e.g., mission type, make, model).
Click 'Save'.
8. Edit Product Mapping 7:11
Navigate back to the product map page.
Click into a product and select 'Edit'.
Click 'Add Product' to select the product.
Adjust the part based on known information (ideal inventory).
Set the capacity (maximum number of products) and update the price and quantity as needed.
