Begin by navigating to Products located on the left navigation bar.
Then, select New Product in the top right corner of your screen.
Type in the term Generic Product and you will notice a default product labeled Generic Product appearing. Select that product from the list.
Next, assign the relevant category for the product.
Proceed to assign your supplier for this product.
If desired, provide a SKU number.
Enter the name of the product you wish to create.
If necessary, create a variant for the product.
Provide a size if it is applicable for the product.
Enter the barcode for the product, ensuring to include all the digits of the barcode.
Next, enter your default price for this product.
Specify the cost per unit for this item.
If you have tax classes configured, make sure to assign an appropriate tax class to the product.
Finally, once you have completed the necessary fields, go ahead and click Save to finalize the creation of your custom product.
By following these steps, you will successfully create a custom product in the Master Catalog.
